<p>1 (12 pound) whole turkey, neck and giblets removed<br />
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil<br />
2 tablespoons salt<br />
1 apple – peeled, cored and cubed</p>
<p>DIRECTIONS</p>
<p>1. Warm oven to 350 F (175 C).<br />
2. Rinse turkey inside and out.<br />
3. Pat it dry with paper towels.<br />
4. Put olive oil and salt all over.<br />
5. Put apple pieces inside cavity.<br />
6. Put turkey in a large roasting pan.<br />
7. Note: Place turkey breast side down.<br />
8. Roast for 3 hours in warmed oven.<br />
9. Take from oven and carefully flip it.<br />
10. Note: Place turkey breast side up.<br />
11. Return pan to oven and cook well.<br />
12. Wait until internal temperature is 180 F.<br />
13. Note: Take temperature at thickest part of thigh.<br />
14. Let turkey sit for 30 minutes before carving.</p>
